Before buying, match the wheel's stud pattern, lug-seat style, load rating, brake clearance and correct offset to your exact machine.
UTV Wheel Fitment by Bolt Pattern
Shopping for 5x4.5 UTV wheels?
5x4.5 inches = 5x114.3 mm. These are two ways of writing the same five-lug bolt-circle size. They are not equivalent to a four-lug 4x156 pattern. Match your exact machine and model year before buying.
Compare Valor Offroad wheel sizes and patterns or browse Valor V15 beadlock variants and Valor V13 beadlock variants. Select the appropriate 5x114.3 variant where available, and confirm offset, clearance, stud thread, lug-seat and load ratings. Read the RZR Pro R bolt-pattern guide for model-specific context.
- Polaris 4x156: Common on RZR XP 1000 and RZR Pro XP applications; see the exact wheel and hub documentation.
- Polaris 5x114.3 / 5x4.5: Common on RZR Pro R, Turbo R and Pro S. Our RZR Pro R 5x4.5 vs XP 1000 4x156 guide explains the difference.
- 4x137: Used on many Can-Am models and Honda Talons. Our Honda Talon lug-pattern guide covers that platform.
Other makes and older machines use additional patterns and thread sizes. A matching bolt circle does not automatically mean the correct offset, lug hardware or wheel load rating.
Beadlock vs Bead-Grip vs Standard UTV Wheels
A traditional beadlock mechanically clamps the tire bead, which may suit specific low-pressure off-road use but adds ring hardware and maintenance. Bead-grip wheel designs improve retention without a mechanical locking ring. Conventional wheels can be a simpler option for many trail and utility riders. Follow the wheel maker's approved tire-pressure, hardware and maintenance requirements.
UTV Wheel Buying Questions
Can I use the same wheels on my RZR XP 1000 and Pro R?
Not directly. The XP 1000 uses a four-lug 4x156 pattern, while the Pro R uses a five-lug 5x114.3 pattern.
Do 5x114.3 and 5x4.5 mean the same thing?
Yes, both describe a five-lug bolt circle about 114.3 mm (4.5 inches) across.
Does wheel offset affect UTV suspension or trail width?
Yes. Changing offset changes the wheel's installed position and can alter track width, scrub radius or suspension and fender clearance.
Do I need different lug nuts with aftermarket wheels?
Possibly. Match the new wheel's seat geometry to the correct lug nut thread and manufacturer's requirements. Review our stud and lug nut fitment checklist.
