Common factory UTV cage sizes include 1.75", 1.85", 1.875", and 2.0", but many machines use more than one tube diameter on the same cage.

How to Measure a UTV Roll Cage Tube

The correct measurement is the outside diameter of the tube where your accessory will actually clamp. Do not measure the inside diameter, and do not assume the A-pillar, roof crossbar, harness bar, and rear cage tubes are all the same size.

Method 1: Use a Digital Caliper

1. Place the caliper jaws across the outside of the tube.
2. Measure through the center of the tube.
3. Compare the reading with common UTV clamp sizes such as 1.625", 1.75", 1.85", 1.875", or 2.0".

Method 2: Use a Flexible Tape or String

If you do not have calipers, wrap a flexible tape measure or string around the tube to get the circumference, then divide by 3.14:

Tube diameter = circumference ÷ 3.14

• About 5.50" circumference = approximately 1.75" tube
• About 5.81" circumference = approximately 1.85" tube
• About 5.89" circumference = approximately 1.875" tube
• About 6.28" circumference = approximately 2.0" tube

Measure the exact bar where the accessory will mount. A cage can use several diameters, which is especially important when choosing UTV mirror clamps, camera mounts, lights, radio mounts, and whip mounts.

Polaris RZR Roll Cage Sizes

Polaris uses both round cages and profile-style cages, so identifying the platform matters just as much as measuring the tube.

Polaris General and newer Ranger models use profile-style cages rather than a normal round perimeter tube. Profile-specific clamps are required in many locations. The top/rear crossbars can still be round on some models, so measure where you plan to mount the part.

Do not select a clamp purely from the UTV model name when the cage is aftermarket.
