Replace the rear driver-side shaft with the eight-ball assembly. Its black oxide finish and low-profile clamps protect the shaft and keep the CV boots seated.

Identify the correct rear corner

This Defender HD5 assembly goes on the left rear. The eight-ball joint design uses a coated shaft and low-profile clamps that hold the boots over the grease-filled joints. Check the HD5 designation as well as the side; the rear-right shaft is a separate application even on the same machine.

Configuration: 2017–2021 HD5; rear left only.
