Demon Powersports Heavy Duty Front Axle for Can-Am Maverick Sport & Commander 1000R
Upgrade your drivetrain strength with the Demon Powersports PAXL-3079-HD Heavy Duty Axle. Engineered for aggressive trail riding and demanding terrain, this axle is built from dual heat-treated chromoly steel with upgraded CV components that are larger and stronger than OEM.
Designed as a direct replacement for the Can-Am Maverick Sport 1000 and Commander 1000R, this axle delivers increased durability, greater articulation, and improved reliability when tackling rocks, mud, and uneven terrain.
Stronger Than Stock
Demon heavy-duty axles are designed to outperform factory axles using larger shafts, stronger cages, and improved materials. Each axle uses a 4340 chromoly inner CV cage paired with a dual heat-treated chromoly shaft to handle high torque loads and demanding off-road conditions.
Compared to standard axles, Demon heavy-duty axles feature:
- 15-20% larger shaft diameter
- 10-15% larger CV joints
- Improved torque capacity and durability
High Articulation Double-Plunge Design
The unique double plunge design allows the axle to slide on bar splines, increasing suspension travel and reducing binding under extreme articulation angles.
- 1.5 inches of plunge travel on the inboard joint
- 40° articulation on the inboard joint
- 0.5 inches of travel on the outboard joint
- 45°–47° articulation depending on model
This design allows the axle to maintain smooth power delivery over rough terrain while supporting lift kits and suspension upgrades.
Heavy-Duty TPEE Boots
Each axle uses advanced TPEE (Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer) CV boots that are stronger, more puncture-resistant, and more temperature-resistant than standard OEM boots.
